I have picked up from hours spent reading this forum instead of working that the following two are pretty solid choices for the ~$100 condenser route

SP B1 (C1 sounds like it gets better overall feedback, but a bit more $$)

MXL 603

Any other suggestions to add to my short list or thoughts on how these compare to each other?
