Am I playing the notes in the crawl, correctly?

I've been composing and playing difficult and progressive music for years, but do not know if I am playing the basic 12-bar blues crawl at the last measure, correctly.

Sweet Home Chicago, in the key of "E".

Chords go in this order:

E - A - E - B - A - E - then the bass does a crawl down to "B", before starting again.

Does the crawl go down like this: E, D, Db, C, B, Bb, B


If not, would someone post the notes in correct succession, please.
 
Depends

There are many blues turnarounds. Some can be descending to the m7 from the root and chromatically to the 5th or ascending from the root to the M3rd and chromatically from there to the 5th. They can be played simultaneously as well. Most of the blues cats I know don't play the same song the same way twice. They will screw with their band mates throwing in stops, chromatic chord passages and extended solos on a whim.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture.;)

Dude it's a straight 12 bar just play it as it seems right. You don't have to play like Duck Dunn you can play it your way. It's still good.

i use the traditional number system so bear with me if you arent used to it...

I/// IV/// I/// //// IV/// //// I/// //// V/// IV/// I/IV/ I/V/

the /// are the next beats where the chords are the same incase you were wondering....

that's your most basic 12 bar blues...

interesting variations... approach each chord change from a 1/2 step up or down... gives a glide in type feel... some would call it a glissando...

where you see the 2 bars of the I at bar 7-8 ... try useing the "climb" from stormy monday... I/ii/ iii/ bIII/

on the turn around bar 11-12... a popular chromatic turn would be iii/ biii/ ii/bII7
