hi New here, been searching keyboards to find a way of getting them to create alternate tunings,
Korg ,my current keyboard only goes one semi-tone up or down
Does any one know of a controller or keyboard that takes individual notes any further ?

Many keyboards will allow you to transpose as much as an octave + or -. That's not really an 'alternate tuning', which is what you would call it when you tune a guitar to a non-standard tuning like D-A-D-G-A-D.

Is there such a thing as alternative tunings on a keyboard ? Is a keyboard not totally fixed in that way, unlike a stringed instrument that can be tuned pretty much a number of different ways ?
The up/down in semitones [transposing] is really just the keyboard equivalent of the capo, which isn't quite the same as an actual alternative tuning.

Well you can edit the temperment on some keyboards (at least I could on my old Casio :P) but mostly its just transposing, what exactly are you after?

thats like cheating. think of all the people who went insane trying to transpose on a piano. its a really good idea thou, even i could play any scale/chord on the keys.
