I CAN SMELL EM!
Alright, lets have the lowdown.
What pickups do you use??
And don't just give us the brand and model...
tell us why you like them...
Tell us about their tone...
Tell us ALL my bruthas, tell us ALL!

i have a p-bass...it has the stock pick-ups on them. if you hit the low strings to hard, it makes this nasty pop sound which sucks. so i want to get better ones.

Stock pickups on everything except my custom 'superstrat' which has Seymour Duncan pickups. the middle strat pickup is a vintage alnico and sounds great. I also had a complete set of the vintage alnicos on a strat I used to own which had Knopfler and Hendrix and Bonnie Raitt depending on what you selected.

It helps to have a great amp, too. Boogie Mk IV or a blackface Vibrolux Reverb.

My Ovation Limited still has the stock pickups, they are "mini" humbuckers with an active pre and a switchable notch filter. The notch filter is NEVER used because it makes the guitar sound like you're playing through a cheap transistor radio. The three position switch is a little funky.....neck-bridge-both(out of phase). The out of phase thing is adjustable but again, the electronics are just a little cheesy so I rarely use the rear position. I have considered changing the entire set-up, but it is a vintage guitar and I would have to start all over again....right down to the pickguard, so that I could keep all the original components intact. As long as I don't use the electronics, it's ok.....and the new V-Amp helps a lot too. Damn, I like that little unit!

All my guitars have stock pups except my strat and that has Texas Specials. I like to keep my tone on the edge, that sweet spot where in just starts to break up.
