About 2 hours mixing on this guy.

A couple friend/engineers I have are divided on whether the low end is perfect or too thin. I don't have time to worry about it really, and this is the mix that will go to the client.

Sounds really good to me. Where / with what do you record / mix?

The thin guitar sounds a bit TOO thin in my opinion, but then maybe thats what they wanted.
 
Just finished the second listening. In my opinion, the bass sounds too "synth", not real enough, as if it's played by a keyboard. I don't know how easy this would be to fix but to me it sounds a bit cheap, I'd give it a fuller sound.
 
....the "thinness" seems to fit the genre.....to that end, if this is what the band sounds like live then I'd keep it as is.....it did occur to me that it might add some dynamics if the bass was thicker/heavier on the "chorus" and then goes back to the original thin sound on the "verses".....just a thought...(although maybe it's not the job of the recording engineer to make such a suggestion ;) )....cool song, good lyrics....keep 'em comin' Ed
 
Great song. I agree that the bass needs to be "thicker."
Overall, I think the guitars are fine, although the first 1/2 of the "solo" could come up a bit and the second 1/2 is a bit shrill.
 
Low end is too thin, in my opinion. Sounds rather trebly overall. It does sound very punchy, however. Probably good for the style (which I hate, and I never listen to......so perhaps it's a great mix, who knows?)
