Dude, this sounds cool. :) How come you changed nicks?

Is that vocoder or talk box stuff around 2:55. The bass and the beat is nice and goovy. Get the listener going with it. :)

Thanks BB, yeah, I finally figured out how to get VST plugins to work in my Guitar Tracks Pro .....it is a free vocoder plugin....
My name got changed when I decided to join in the wacky world of alias in the Dragon Cave a while back...unfortunately, I got messed up and saved the wrong ID and now I'm stuck with Queepy :o

I found the mix was a little mid-ish. The bass guitar was good but the rest seemed heavy on the mids.

This has a sort of Thomas Dolby effect on me. Both the tone of the vocals and the rhythm of the music. Cool that way..... Excellent writing and playing...

Thanks for listening ido1957, I did try to EQ the bass guitar and rhythm guitars to give them a bit of separation from each other...I will go back and focus on the guitars and adjust accordingly as I agree, they are a bit boxy sounding right now.
Thanks for the feedback!!

Hey Ax/Queepy! To start awesome song name and pic to go with it... in the verses love the rhythm and funky sounds, vox are somewhat hard to understand, but sound cool. The solo is pretty thick and alien sounding, nice sounds there. Mixwise, to me the only time things sound a bit boxy to me is when the electrics come in... I dig this, great song idea and rhythms,, fun listen man! Rocks

This was really cool queepyaxman!

The cleaner guitars remind me of early talking heads...like that album that had cities and i zimbra on it (i forget the name). A very original track all around though and a very fun listen.

I love the beat, but found myself wishing the dynamics of the beat would change and open up a little somehow when the electric guitars came in for the build up, and then return to the original sound...that would be cool, but perhaps a tall order.

SnkaeDOg - Thanks man, yeah I know the verses are buried...vocals are not my strong point...anyways I am uploading a new version and I think I have improved it a bit...thanks for the listen!

heatmiser - I liked your idea about the dynamics changing a bit, I still wanted to have a kinda mechanical robotic feel, but maybe with a bit of swing to it, so I added a bunch of tom loops to kinda spice things up...I made them hit by hit so hopefully they don't sound to clunky :o..
Thanks for listening!

Very alien. I like the build to the solo.
