I downloaded Algorhythm and really like the
program, but it keeps freezing up my comp.
Usually it happens when I try to move the
window around(I have a 15"monitor,so I cant
always see everything)
Sometimes,but not always,I'll get a warning
that my system is dangerously low on resources. It offers me the option of exiting
but if I press it,nothing happens.Frozen solid!!!In every case,I can not get out by
ctrl-alt-delete.
My system is:
Celeron 533
196 pc100 sdram
Abit BE6-2 mobo
Maxtor 30GB 7200rpm HD
Win98
Any help would be most appreciated!!!

man, I just d/ld that same program.. and Im all stoked cuz it seems awesome...But it is unstable as all get-out. It sux. Its not my machine either... and I get that silly "low on resources" garbage and just LAUGH!!

anyway, if anyone knows the solution?!!

also I have other algorythm problems... if anyone knows the infos.

Have you registered yet.I wouldn't bother, try PC Drummer instead.I paid the 60bucks for the pro version, and I really like it.With the pro version, you can use any sample, and creat your own kits.Runs stable too!

damn.. don't use these shitty drum programs.. just get a hold of Cubase and you can do it all, and better. at the very LEAST get Fruity Loops.

I tried the fruitloops demo, but couldn't make heads or tails of it(didn't try too hard),If I was in a better financial situation,I would like to have the most advanced version of Fruityloops. It seems like a cool program.Having said that,I need something that will work for me on my low budget.PC Drummer really fits the bill. It's very simple to use,and allows me to use any sample I want. That's
a big deal to me,because I've been using an Alesis HR16 for the past 12 yrs,and have come to love, and depend on some of the sounds it has.I can simply sample and edit them in my computer,
and have a larger pallet of sounds than I did before.

Algorhythm can be buggy - just rememeber to SAVE OFTEN! Other than that, it is a great program, far better than PC Drummer and FruityConfusingLoops. I'm hoping a new version comes out soon with some bugs blasted.

I, too, am having problems with Algorythym, which is frustrating, since I was so excited that I had found a software drum machine I could be productive with! FruityLoops wasn't doing it for me.

Every file I save is corrupted when I try to load it. I get errors about missing list items. I tried to instead save a file using that "self-contained" format, and when I loaded the song, I didn't get errors, but the drum set samples I was using were all replaced with a cowbell. GRR!!!

Just when I thought I had found something usable...*sigh*

I've actually become pretty fond of PCDrummer.Never gives me any trouble!Algorythm looked really cool to me,but it was utterly unusable. It would freeze my system solid If I tried to use it.For now,I'm satisfied with what I've got.

I havent tried pc drummer. I Have used Fruityloops for years.. but I find it really limited, stylistically. a great prog for dance, not so hot for trance, eh?
