I have two mixing boards, an Alesis Studio 24 and Fostex 450. Does anyone know which board has better preamps? Thanks, Don

hmm..
ok, i read a Tape Op article about a couple who have been using 450 in a project environment. i think it seems like its a decent pre, but i COULDNT tell you really. if im not mistaken the 450 is back from the old school days of tascam and fostex r2r owning the project studio world. but alesis i think will be quiter.. ask MrQ i think he has a 24

If you have them both, use the one which sound you like best, which may be different preamps for different sound sources.
