Did you know that user patterns with fill can be generated & used as normally generated user drum patterns?
For example, create a new user pattern 12Afill.
This new pattern can be treated exactly as a "normal" user created drum pattern.
(without fill of course)
There are 3 disadvantages:
1) the new 12Afill pattern has to have the same number of beats as the original 12A pattern.
2)the new 12Afill pattern does not appear when scrolling up / down the patterns.
3)check the drum beats on beat 1 of the next pattern following the new 12Afill pattern.
Of course, this expands greatly the number of available patterns.
What I do not know is how the machine's memory copes with all of this.
I have created 1 song just using new "fill" patterns & it works fine.
Why? Then see my other Alesis post, where Arcaxis has been helping me.
I would love to hear your comments / observations.
Robert.
