I looked and looked and could not find a thread on this. For that matter, a Google search found virtually nothing in the way of detailed reviews, demos or samples.
I actually have the original Nanoverb and love it. I want to supplement my recording chain with a second, similar (inexpensive) effects unit. In particular, I'd like to have more of a vintage/analog sounding reverb option, and am therefore intrigued by the Nanoverb 2's inclusion of "spring" and "tape" effects.
I understand it's hard to do these vintage reverbs well digitally, but how does the 'Verb 2 do with these sounds? Is this unit a significant upgrade from the original Nanoverb, and are the sounds distinctly different/better?
