My Alesis Multimix 16 firewire worked well with Windows XP.I bought it in 2010.We updated the firmware (2.0) and original drivers for XP. No problems.
I recently changed Windows XP with Windows 7(32).I have the drivers for W7 from Alesis site. Installation is ok, windows recognizes the sound card .Problem is:the playback is with interruptions and latency-midi( all programs: Cubase 5, media player, Sound Forge...).PCI firewire card is from Texas instruments.I selected windows drivers to legacy.He has moments when they work well but not for long time (seconds).
