Alesis M1Active 520 monitors

Hey everybody,

I am in a band right now, and I use the Alesis M1Active speakers on my Yamaha MOTIF XS8, but in order to make myself clear and hearable, I have to ramp up the volume quite a bit, so those little blue lights on the top of them turn red.
I was wondering: is this a bad thing, and if yes, what could happen if I let them flash too often?

Ok this is gona sound like a stupid qestion but have you turned up the gain on the back of the speakers?

The red light usually means your input level is too high.
If it's not loud enough you must have the built in amps turned right down.

red light means it's clipping. clipping is bad. don't turn them up so loud.
