Alesis M1 or Event PS6: the choice is yours...

Ok guys,

I need a pair of nearfield monitors. Your comments / suggestions / experiences regarding either one of these monitors would be GREATLY appreciated.

Take some CDs to the store and listen side by side. I was all set to buy the Alesis M1s based on reputation, price and others' recommendations. When I listened to them, they sounded fine. But when I listened to the Event PS8s I preferred them and opted to spend the additional $250.
