First of all, forgive me, I'm BRAND new to drum modules. I'm in DESPERATE need of some help. I have been recording with my snare and my bass drum triggered for a while now, but my toms sound has been pretty weak compared to my triggered kick and snare. SO, I decided to trigger my toms. NOW, on the triggered TOMS only, I'm getting "ghost notes" and sometimes all of the notes that I actually play don't come through. It sounds like a complete mess. It seems like I've tried everything. Can anyone help? Even the most obvious suggestions would be of GREAT assistance! Thank You!!!!!

First, you need to deaden the drums so they don't ring sympatheticly with the other drums.
Then, you will need to get into the trigger parameters on the module and play with the gate and crosstalk.

I bought the thing used, would it help to "reset" the module? I heard that there is a way to do that, but I could not find out how to do it. Any help?

you might want to download the manual at http://www.alesis.com/downloads/manuals/D4_Manual.pdf.
It has plenty of info about D4 controls. I still trying to fix my brother`s drumset to avoid ghost notes, as our basement has a low ceiling, but the sounds you get when combining it with some ambience are worth the hassle.

Good luck
