Alesis D4 Demo Mode

Does anyone know how to put the D4 in demo mode?

I do.

I know I heard the demo mode once, but I just went through the manual and it doesn't mention it.

Maybe hold demo while you turn it on? Mine is in storage and I don't want to haul it out. Truthfully I always hated those demo modes in anything I bought as it was always too loud, with tons of notes and unmusical.

Another idea is to phone Alesis and ask them, the phone number in the manual is 310-836-7924 (CA). Maybe their site would have a current phone number if that one's old.

fyi the D4 also has hidden routines for self-test, reset to factory and version check:

self test - hold midi and drumset while powering up
reset to factory - hold output and voice while powering up
check software/firmware version - in drumset mode, hold < and >
