Alesis AI3 A/D/A converter need advice.

allright, im trying to start off with a semi "pro" studio, and i have an alesis AI3 a/d/a converter, I really need some advice on a soundcard that will be compatible with this thing, i don't want to get the alesis adat card because, i've heard nothing but bad things about it, but i don't have much to spend (300 max, probably utilizing ebay for the purchase)
please help anyone!!!

Sucks when nobody replies, huh? Just noticed your post. The AI-3 will work with any soundcard as long as it has adat optical inputs. That's the only way it can interface. A large amount of cards have that interface nowadays. You should be able to find one under $300.00 with no problem.
