Hi,

a few days ago i bought a "Alesis AcoustiFX" because the manual writes there is a 12-String Guitar simulation. I zapped all the programs but i couldn't find a simulation that sounds like a 12-String Guitar.

Does anybody have a list of presets to make the Alesis sounds like a 12-String Guitar?

I have the Alesis GuitarFX and have the same problem. The advertising hype claims it is possible to simulate a 12-string but none of the factory presets sound remotely like a 12-string and the owners manual doesn't provide any help. I have sent several e-mails to Alesis customer service over the past three months and have never received a response.
Basically, you want to add just a hint of chorus and delay to the signal. So play with those settings until you think you have something that sounds like a 12-string and then write down those settings so if you don't get it stored properly or accidentally reset all your edited patches back to the factory defaults you can redo it.

Hi YeshuasFan,

i thought thats something like this you posted. I only bought this device because there was written that a 12 string simulation comes with it.
Sh....t
I think i bring this device back to the Dealer!

Do you know some other devices that can handle the 12 String simulation?

If you can, go to the websites for Korg, Zoom, and Digitech, download the owner's manuals for their units, then get into some dealers who carry those units and try them out in the stores (take your guitar with you to try them--that way you'll know how they sound on your guitar). I'd also suggest checking out the Yamaha MagicStomp.

Don't be put off by models (like the DigiTech line) that aren't marketed as "Acoustic" effects. Just boost the low EQ and lower the high EQ to taste and it will compensate for the difference in voicing. Plus, by using standard FX instead of "Acoustic" FX you will have more available FX in your arsenal since the models being marketed as "Acoustic" FX are basically just chorus, compression, delay, and EQ in varying combinations.
