Alcivar Info Wanted

Anyone know anything about Alcivar guitars? One of my first electrics was an Alcivar strat copy (right down to the headstock design) purchased sometime around 1979 (give or take a year or two). It "had" a maple neck/fretboard (since replaced) and has a beautiful ash body. It was possibly built in Japan. That's all the info I have. I'm just curious as to its roots.

Amazing.

Checked all of the local shops, the web, a number of forums,...and there appears to be no info on "Alcivar" whatsoever. Strange considering the decent quality of its parts (far superior to a current Squier in all respects including wood, electronics, etc). There's gotta be a story here somewhere........
