I have been seeing some very decent used prices on these microphones. . I was wondering what the general opinion of them are?? I am trying for a definite british vintage rock sound (T Rex, 60s-early70s Stones), would this suit my needs at all?
 
I think it's a real good mic, but it has a personality.
It's not a one mic and you have it all (but then again the one and only single mic doesnt exist).

I have found that for the price versus a nice tube mic it performs very nicely. I think for many vocals it kicks ass even more so, with female vocs. Yet for some males it can fit like a glove and...not...

I brought one, after doing 2 albums with it, in a studio with a huge arsenal of mics yet the resident engineer swore by it and wouldnt let me use any thing else untill I've tried it for a few days :) .

Go give it test. It's worth your time
