When I was a radio guy, I always used the K240 cans. Great sound, lightweight, and no feedback when working close to the mic.
The new ones I picked up at GC the other day say "600 ohm" on the box, and the word "monitor" is appended to the "K240".
How great an issue is this different impedance for me, using home recording stuff?
I know that 600 ohms is the old telco standard for connectivity, but I don't recall what the impedance was on my old cans I used at the station. Should I return them for the "standard", non-"monitor" headsets?
