akg c1000 for hi hat?

hello, i m looking for a mic to record hi hat with. i ve heard many bad comments for the c1000 as an overhead mic, so i m thinking to use it on the hi hat...would that be a good move to do? if not, has anyone got any recomendations about what mic to use on hi hat?

Personaly, I don't like miking the hats but that's neither here nor there. I have a couple of C-1000s and while I like them as snare or tom mics, they sound a little too brittle on any kind of cymbals, including hats.
