I'd rather have a real MPC.....

Oh wait....

I do have a real MPC :)

get an MPC, you'll be much happier in the end. Just my thoughts... Also, check out Reason 2.5 (the software), much cheaper, but still good quality. I recorded an R&B duo that used exclusively Reason 2.5.

I honestly have no clue.

But since the mpd is classified as a midi controller if fruity loops works with midi then i suppose it would work.

It was intended to give the budget-minded consumer (you) access to the functionality of the pads of the MPC family.

You will probably find nothing but frustration if you try to use it with FL Studio.

It will work with Tracktion and the Tracktion sampler. Just plug it into your midi interface (you do have a midi interface, don't you? If not, see below) and configure Tracktion sampler to play one wav sample per key. Then pull the record arrow over to the track, turn on the click, set the tempo and away you go.

You can d/load a fully functional Tracktion demo here:

And here's a link to a basic midi interface:

Yeah. I use Tracktion 6 to 8 hours a day every working day. It's VERY stable and quite a tasty treat when it comes to stuff like I described above...
