Akai 1710 Tape Deck

I just got a Akai 1710 Tape deck. It worked fine until I brought it home, Now when set to Play, Nothing happens. The Sound works, I can turn the wheel and here it. I have no clue what to do..

are you sure you have the tape threaded correctly?
If it doesn't hold up the tensioner arm it won't play.
