affected frequencies of membrane traps

I'm building some membrane traps for my project studio and i'm just wondering, what determines the affected frequency? is the frequency based on the size of the membrane or the depth of the trap? if size of the membrane, is it similar to a quarter-wave pipe? if depth, is there a calculation to determine that relationship?

Generally speaking, usually panel traps have a narrow absorption bandwidth, and are used "professionally" when problem frequencys are encountered. Do you have a problem? Otherwise, you COULD cause more problems then not using them. Like my Dad says, "if it ain't broke, why are you trying to fix it?"
