How about a few suggestions on the most bang for the buck on upgrading to a new computer.
Don't need monitor and looking for the most I can get for $1500 or so, will be putting delta audiohpile 2496 in it.
Anything in particular I should look for other than cpu speed, ram, and hard drive capacity and speed?

I will even spend a little more to avoid heartaches and crashes in the future. Probably will be using n-track as the software.

Help me spend my money!

Well i'll tell you what. You can build one hell of a system for 1500.00. I recommend building one rather than buying one off the shelf. Or find an outfit that will build one for you around your audio needs. Some audio software and hardware manufacture's do testing on various components such as mobos, procc., etc... and list the results. Do a little research on it.
I have'nt kept up with the newest PC components in the last year as I have no need to upgrade yet. But someone may respond with info more specific.

I guess I could say, min. 1gig CPU
Fast dual hardrives---one for audio only....with that kind of dough you might go with SCSI drive for audio.
256mb ram or higher -- micro
Good CDRW...Plextor???Yamaha???
Audiophile is a nice choice
