advice wanted for new Sonar 2XL installation

I am purchasing a new computer for Sonar 2 XL. Is there a company that specializes in configuring systems specifically for this task? Otherwise, does anyone know whether or not there is a benefit to running the software on a Xeon based workstation vs. a P4 platform?

I am more concerned about getting performance than I am about saving $.

Any and all comments would be welcome.

My advice would be to stick with Intel/P4 rather than an AMD Athlon system.

Cakewalk has been very open about the fact they work closely with Intel and write optimized code for Pentium processors.

where did u get that from...i asked a cakewalk rep in another forum and he said he's heard no such thing
