advice/opinion on acoustic guitar mixing (mp3 included)

Not bad, but I heard a percussive sound that was very distracting. I assume it's coming from the picking hand. How did you set up the mic(s)?

I had a cad trion 8000 tube mic around 5-8 inches away near the 12th fret slightly pointed towards the sound hole, but not that much to where it would catch major bass. someone mentioned before i need to cut certain frequencies, but i have no idea how to do that in adobe audition. if its using EQ, the EQ in adobe audition looks like this http://images.digitalmedianet.com/2006/Week_5/0khghhf4/story/new_eq550.jpg

if i do it using the compressor, i don't think i can do it with the one they have. :P

Well if you are looking to cut frequencies, you definitely want to use the EQ for that. As for what exactly to cut (or boost), you should be able to run a search and find some much more valuable input than I can provide. The one thing I don't mind saying, though, is be careful not to follow too much of a "cook book" approach to it--in other words, soak up whatever pointers and "rules of thumb" that you can, but also be sure to do some experimenting and go with what sounds best to your ears.
