ok a friend and I are in the early process of building a studio and were looking for a mixer that allows us to record seperate tracks on the DAW while bein able to moniter what is going through. Also motorised faders and interaction with the DAW would be a plus (IE solo, mute, arm buttons when pressed etc)

Is there anything out there like that, ive been searching, and have only found this one to suit what i want:http://www.thomann.de/index.html?partner_id=97926&page=thoiw6_tascam_us2400_prodinfo.html

Is there an 12-18 track version of this? And how to i get my actual mic/instrument inputs into the pc? Firewire interface with 16 inputs? PLZ HELP!!!

That's a DAW controller. it does not record audio; just mixes tracks.

You need something like the FW-1082 or FW-1884 by Tascam.

We are a United States-based web site.

You guys are not in the United States.

I determined this based on the linked store being one seemingly located in the UK.

Please make it clear what country you are in so that we all know and can provide recommendations based on what's available to you locally and also provide you with a price in your local currency.

No offence, but that is completely irrelevant. He isn't asking *where* to buy something, he is asking *what* to buy. Welcome to the global market, where I can buy a Yamaha mixer down the road - and I live in India. :)

The product he pointed at is a Tascam, which is an "American" product (actually made in China). How does it matter where he buys it?

p.s. Last time I checked, ".DE" still stood for Deutschland (i.e. Germany). :)

You didn't hear? They just renamed it the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Select German Data Centers. :D
