Hello,

For live-use I'm thinking about getting a channel-strip in the 250-500 EUR range (that's about 350-700 USD). I'm considering the following modules:

* TLA Ivory II 5051
* Mindprint En-Voice
* DBX 376

I am planning to use it to sweeten up the lead-vocals. Does anybody has experience with these modules? The En-Voice gets a lot of positive feedback on this forum, but I can't find that much info about the 376 and the 5051, so I do not have a good comparison.

Thank you very much!

I own the dbx 376... I consider it more of a clean studio pre then a live colored pre... not a lot of tube saturation sound from this one... It's very clean... decent converters... but a bit sterile and thin...

Want to buy it?? :)

which console/PA will you be using? with a decent, well tuned PA set-up, a high quality mic pre isn't really required. as a live sound tech, i would purchase a decent compressor before i got a pre just for vocals, as the preamp's price wouldn't justify the marginal improvement it would make.

Get you a good Soundcraft, A&H, or Midas board and you'll have a whole board full of good pres.
