Adobe Audition 3.0 Locking Up in Edit View

Have you guys had any problems with the software locking up in Edit view? I've been trying to add preverb on some of my tracks and the DAW takes a dump and locks up. I can hit spacebar to play whatever is loaded, but I can't click anywhere in the DAW. Its as if there is a window that is hidden behind the DAW that won't let you do anything until its closed.

For now, I've had to save even more often and just kill the app everytime this happens.
 
damn same thing happens to me, probably some bug that needs to be fixed, gets anoying. But glad im not the only one that gets this
 
I haven't found a way around this yet. I'm just making sure to save often before I want to use edit view... :confused:
 
I had a similar problem in Edit View when I tried to use Mastering Rack.
After I've chosen Fx, I preview result and preview plays fine.
Then I hit OK to apply FX and AA3,0 locks up. Everything stops at this point and I can’t use any of buttons.
If I try to click somewhere I get that windows sound like another AA window is open in the background.
I have to kill app. This happens only if I go via Mastering Rack no matter what FX was in use.

The Adobe site includes many FAQ entries and has helped me immensely even before I had to post a query.

Personally, I have settled on 1.5, so I can't help you.
 
i think its because the realtime effects are ment to be used in the bus anf fx rack.....try using the effects that way in multitrack view

It's possible to use those effects destructively.
Anyway I use them in real time in Mutitrack view for my mixes.

But Isn't Mastering a destructive process?
You can't access Mastering Rack from Mutitrack view.
That's why I tried this new feature in AA 3,0.
Let's say I am going to use Multiband compressor.
I open my mix in edit view and I go Effects/Amplitude and Compression/Multiband Compressor
After I tweaked my compressor I can preview and apply it. No problem at all.

But if I do the same using Mastering rack >>AA locks up.

So I do have my way around the problem but I would like to know if problem is some BUG or just me being stupid.

The thing is that I think it should be possible to choose several effects in Mastering rack and preview/apply them at once
what means that I could hear the result of their combination before I applied them one by one.
 
you can use the mastering rack in mutli track......start of in a clean session and put the track you want to master in track 1....open up mixer and to the far right is the master rack....apply your effects and then bounce your master down to another track, double click to put in edit veiw and save....might seem longer process but ive had less problems with aa doing it this way
 
Off course that's possibility but Mastering Rack should do that without exporting or bouncing.
I love Aa 3,0 but I would like to know if this is just a BUG or me doing it wrong way.
How many people do bouncing/exporting while mastering on other daws?
 
anyone find a fix or why this program does this yet? im curious sinc ei tested this out and came across the same thing in edit view
 
got the same problem.
those other forums arent really any help.
just hopin that adobe releases a fix or something.

also.. anyone having problems with AA3 reading .aiff files from other programs?
