I guess not, and I'm okay with that too. I'm not a slave to all the typical cliche trappings of recording in a "studio". I don't need mood lighting, lava lamps, magical space, warm paint, black lights, smoke machines, pixie dust, bong resin, or any of that nonsensical shit. I can track drums or guitar just fine with the TV on Sportscenter and every light in the house on at 9 am and the performance will be the same as any other time or place.

I have never been in a studio that had a lava lamp. If I did it would be a 32-bit Firewire unit, probably Neumann or Schoeps, not that amateur crap they sell at head shops next to the pipe screens.

yes, i admit. it was the first or second thing i ever bought on Ebay, its an original from the 70's, a blue one..looks cool. i have it plugged into the rack conditioner one of the racks so when i power up, it comes on, when i shut er down it goes off! the longer im in there, the smaller the bubbles get!!
