Adjusting Midi volume

Hi I'm using Cubase LE and I have a midi track that can barely be heard behind the guitar and drums. I have the channel turned up to 127 (the highest it will go) but I was wondering if there was another way to adjust the volume. Thanks for any and all help!
 
MIDI volume and the audio volume are two separate things. Push the channel
fader up as far as it needs to be. If it still can't be heard, turn everything else
down or put a gain plug-in on the track to boost the signal.

Go into list edit and look at the velocities of the track that is low in volume. Each note you play can lie anywhere in the range of 0 to 127. Some instruments sound best played loud, some soft.

If for instance, all the notes on that track are in the 20 to 50 range, it could be that the track was played softly when it was recorded.

How do I put a plugin on a midi track? I dont see that option at all just the VSTi option. Sorry Im really new to midi. Thanks again
 
You can't add VST effects to MIDI tracks on your system, only to audio tracks.

One solution is to record the MIDI track onto an audio track and then use the VST effect.
 
Im not trying to use a vst effect im using a VST instrument or a VSTi. Because the midi track doesnt have any sound if i dont, its just a bunch of data.
 
Try recording the VST Instrument track back into Cubase and then it will be an audio file track, and you should be able to add a VST effect on to that.
