Adding traks internet

Years ago a friend and his used to send and receive music traks to compose and edit...they lived in different states. Can anyone help me how to do this. Thanks so much!

One way is to use a drop box.

Go to dropbox.com, create account, then you can share files easily over the web.

It looks like a folder on your desktop into which you save files, but is actually on the web.
