Adding To An Existing Recording

So my drummer and vocalist are doing covers of existing popular songs on the original instrumentals. My drummer wrote out a few routines to play over Taio Cruz's Dynamite and my vocalist is rapping over a few "beats" (think mixtape).

Its seems pretty straight forward in terms of mixing but I was just wondering if there are any tips or advice you guys could give me to help out a little. Thanks.

mix till it sounds good and/or read and research. just sayin. oh and lots of cowbell

Yea, just use your ears until it sounds good. There is no steps to making a good mix, because each mix will need different things done to it. So all you can do for every mix is to use your ears and let your ears tell you what needs to be done to the mix/song
