Hi Guys,

I have an Akia MPK 25 Keyboard, which is great. (If your thinking of getting one check them out or the MPK49, very versatile little keyboards)
Now I have seen someone on the "net" sample a song and load it on to the pressure pads in small sections per pad.

My problem is I can't figure out how they did it.
What I saw was the song was cut into small segments in the mixing prog. (easy can do)
Then each section of the song was attributed to a key on the pressure/drum pad.
They did this by click and drag but I haven't been able to get this to work so there also must be another method?

Does anyone know how to do this and if so I'd love some help with this?

ciao

Assign a MIDI note number to each of the samples and program the pads to respond to the note numbers.

Should be somewhere in the manual what the default note numbers are for the pads.

You could also figure out what the default values are with something like MIDI-OX by triggering the pads and taking note of what MIDI notes are generated when you hit each pad. MIDI-OX has a window that displays incoming MIDI messages.

depends on what daw u are using. You have to chop it up then its no different than assigning drums to pads. ie c3 d3 e3 f3 etc not sure the sequence of the drum pads im at work so i cant check lol
