All of the audio interfaces I've found that I like (PreSonus Inspire, Firebox, etc.) are all firewire-based... How difficult/expensive would it be to add firewire capabilities to my dell inspiron laptop?
With an audio interface, does the soundcard you're using ever become an issue? For example, if I have a good audio interface and a cheap stock soundcard, would it matter? Sorry if this question sounds stupid but I have very minimal experience with audio interfaces....
when using your audio interface, you will probably want to go into Device Manager and disable the onboard sound card. Sometimes they can interfere with the audio interface.
