Hi there, im fairly new to recording, im using an mxl v67 condenser mic and recording through a tascam dp-01fx potastudio, ive been recording vocals but they sound very light with no real depth and they actually sound quite amateur just wondered if anyone had any ideas on what i might be doing wrong or what i could try ?

Thanks

1. double up or triple your vocals...
2. add some reverb...
3. EQ

I"m a big fan of everything Diffusion said. Also, i took a recording class awhile back and the instructer used a few compressor tricks to level out a singers voice that was a little off ballenced. I don't remember how he did it, but it's somting to think about.
