Hi Guys
Ok the scenario is this , soundcraft spirit ES mixer with a lexicon MX200 dual effects plugged into the aux channels and fed back into one of the stereo channels so that i can add effect mixes with this unit to each instrument channel , this works very well.
I have a Behringer Ultradyne pro which I want to use to process(compress) the dr880 AFTER it has gone though the mixers eq section and cant figure out how to do this. The DR880 uses 1 mono output and feeds into a single unbal channel on the spirit.
Of course I could disconnect the Lexicon and plug the ultradyne in its place but then i couldnt be able to mix in my effects live.
any workarounds for this ? probably is but I damned if i can figure it out.
Now the ultradyne Pro is a multiband processor so i guess i could use it on the output of the mixer before it feeds into my fostex MR-8HD for recording but i dont want the hard hitting bass lines that will be compressed to affect the rest of the mix. Or is the Ultradyne capable of doing a good job of this ?
