Adding a reason-created wav into cubase

Hi all,

I have been trying to work out an issue for 3 weeks now which is slowly giving me brain damage not to mention hair loss through stress.

Okay, so I use reason 3 and cubase sx3 together. I record all my stuff using analogue synths and i use reason as a drum machine (utilising rewire) - i have no problems with any of it working as it should.

Well, thats was until my friend suggested we try and change the sample rate in cubase from 41 to 98. We did it as a test and then changed it back on a permanent basis.

Now when i try to import a drum track that was exported as a wav from reason, the drum track sounds compressed, flat and it phases like hell (The audio track is dry and with no fx).

Also the tempo is out in the imported drum wav. (too slow).

Not too sure if that has anything to do with the change of sample rate or not. Even if i burn the drum track to cd and then import it into cubase as a cd track it sounds wrong, but on a cd player or in windows media player it sounds fine.

...............why?................Anybody found this to be an issue? Anybody know an answer? Please help me!

Thanks in advance....

Pete.
