man i could groove on this all night!! it's faster than other one, and i love the lead panned off to one side like that. super easy to listen to. and i think the percussion and bass sit very well, im diggin it. personally i wish it would have went longer.
Well, I couldn't construct this tune but I'll give my thoughts on building it up.
I'd put (don't laugh at my ignorance) one of those fish scrapers into the percusion and a couple well placed rattles. Maybe a bongo or conga run/swell.
I think the rhythm on the left is lacking some articulation on the first two notes of the picking pattern. Could be just me.
Maybe a xelophone(sp?) with the same notes as the picked rhythm but opposite pan would help the ear and head from leaning towards one side. If you do this, then pull the lead git more to center.
