adat to computer help needed.

What are all the ways that I can transferr tracks from ADATS..I already know about ADAT Edit. I'm wanting to uses my computer without having to revert to win98...because that is what adat edit runs off of. Are there any programs that would be better suited to use with the adats? sorry about cross posting
 
The program doesn't matter so much as the hardware does. You need a soundcard with Adat Lightpipe or 8 analog inputs and you are all set.
 
There's plenty of newer cards with ADAT interface on the market. Terratec EWS88D costs $199 and it comes with EMAGIC Logic 4 and SEK'D Samplitude programs.
