ADAT output calibration

I'm running a pair of ADAT blackface machines (4.03 software) and I just noticed a couple of the channels are outputting at slightly lower levels than the rest. I'm going out of the +4 elco connector. I was hoping I could popit open and tune the outputs but that doesn't appear in the manual and I'd love to avoid ruining my already tempermental machines. Any ideas?

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Vaguely.

How did you determine that certain tracks are outputting at a lower volume?

Could it be that the track was recorded like that?

Take a look at the elco connector. Are any of the pins out of place. If you are using the type which terminates to A balanced TRS you may be getting only the ANTI and not the phase signal accross this cable or vice versa.

Thanks for the replies. I recorded an identical signal to all 8 tracks and got a lower signal back to my board on a couple of the channels. I'll take a look at the elco this weekend for sure. I might actually be switching to the unbalanced outs because I just got an unbalanced mixer.
