ADAT Advantages?

Hey,

Does anyone know if there are any advantages or disadvantages to ADAT Lightpipe compared to Firewire 400/800 or USB? I have an E-mu 1202 PCI card and use the ADAT I/O on it to a Tascam DM-24 Digital Mixer.

Well Firewire has more bandwidth but ADAT is a more established audio format. My firewire interface includes an ADAT input along with AES/EBU and 10 analog I/O.

I really don't think it matters. If all you need is 8 I/O just use what works and I assume the ADAT input is working now.
