So I admit, that I am no big monitor expert. And I understand you need good monitors when mixing in the studio... but really I throw this question back at all the pros here:
Is a $3500 active monitor really necessary? Doesn't this actually distort the REAL sound of music which is usually played on some mediocre system like your PC/Car ?
I mean with this type of monitor isn't almost anything going to sound amazing in the studio??
