It is a life preserver
If you have been enjoying your ADA amplifiers and equipment, Their dedicated forum is back online after a number of years.

ADA was the pinnacle of amplification at the end of the 80's beginning of the 90's. For more dynamics you needed custom boutique stuff that was hit or miss. It looked as if ADA was going to take over the world..then the warehouse burned down in 1996 and the ride ended.

ADAdepot.com its back. Schematics and support for your treasured ADA gear. ADA forever.

How does that work? Did they not have insurance?

I had an MP-1. It was great for some things - particularly super crunch and super clean, as I recall. Other stuff - not so much. I ran mine through a 200W Marshall Major PA head. That thing was BRUTALLY loud. lol. My neighbors did not like me.

What I really liked about it the most was the silent switching of that MIDI foot switch. THAT was slick at the time.

ADA had some great ideas in their products.

The cabinets had hookups for series or parallel connections with a dummy load for ohms. Versatile.

The bass top had a defeat able click horn (compression driver). The biamplification worked much better than Bob Galliens at GK.

The preamps could be controlled remotely via midi. All analog circuits, all the time. Even the primitive speaker cabinet simulator is analog and pre DSP chip.

The Upgrade kits from ADA engineering team really brought the MP-1 to life. The 3.666 mod..The 3 Tube mod...the 4.xx mod...all co-designed by the creator Todd Langner to take these beasts further into the dark...
