So i'm relatively new to this whole home recording lark so in the case of acoustic treatment would these bit of foam be alright to create DIY acoustic panels?

Thanks

First: don't start multiple threads asking the same question!
Second: read all the threads here about acoustic treatment and the 'don'ts' about foam.

What kind of foam is it? There are many types of foam, and some are very flammable and dangerous to use in a studio where other ones are completely fine but are used for packaging and don't absorb much sound, and other ones are actually used for acoustical purposes which work well for deadening the mids and highs but don't provide any broadband absorption down to lower frequencies like fiberglass and mineral wool bass traps do.
