A nice tune... solid rhythm guitar. Maybe more Mexican/latin than Spanish :D . I like the tremolo in the lead line near the end.

Thanks for the comment, glad you liked the bit at the end!

Very nice. I really really like it. Especially if you're just sitting out on the porch and just having a glass of wine. Did I say wine, I mean BEER. BEER! BEER!

Ok, back to the song, on the home theater system it sounds very nice. :) And the tune itself is very nice. I wonder how many takes did you do for the rhythm part. And if the rhythm currently on the track is all one take.

I find a lot of rhythm sections to be chores sometimes and keep losing time. So I do at least a 100 punch ins and about 2000 takes before I have one good rhythm track. :)

All the lead bits are pieced together I think bit by bit. I think I would record the lead in chunks like that. The whole thing was only about 3 tracks. But the rhythm is one take. I worked out the progression over time, as you do, then probably played it through once then recorded it in one hit.

I'm pretty sure I did it about 2 years ago on an SBlive and with a $19 microphone. I used a capo for some of the lead. I definitely would have been drinking beer when I did it.

Thanks for your comments, really kind

Yup, all my leads are also pieced together. I mean played in bits and pieces. Most of all, they're done as I think of them. Which means the AMP settings have probably changed in the middle 'coz I was trying to get a nickelback sound yesterday and a bon jovi sound today. So now I have a different sound and different volume level. I find rhythm harder to do in one take. Playing song tunes/melodies are the easiest for me since I am essentially singing that with the guitar. :)

Yeah, most of the songs that I have done, and that i like are ones where I didn't really have much of a plan...just kind of like slapping down the rhythm/ chord progression that you have worked out and then after that adding bits and pieces here and there.

The ones I really try to work out turn out like shit really.

The song 'watery' in my recordings was like that. i had 3 chords and a bit of an idea for a riff or two, then basically made up the rest while I recorded.

I like doing it like that. I end up smoking lots of cigarettes and drinking beer and just having a good time.

I couldn't help but click on that song Watery. There is a fade that you did on a single note, that sounded so cool. I am going to steal that for something sometime, that rocked.

Which fade was that? What part of the song? Do you mean that fast fade from left to right?

Thanks for listening, cool

The rhythm guitar is real solid. The solo fit the song pretty good too. Some sections almost sounded Greek in origin. Nice piece. ;)

Greek hey? I never thought of that...thanks for the comment, it's been good to get some replies
