Winner chicken dinner!
What could I do to improve this?

I am not the songwriter, just the engineer. I just push the buttons, sometimes with my ears plugged even.

Damn that's a beautiful song. Vocal's very well recorded, as are the high and low ac gtrs. I really like the almost inaudible tapping on the gtr before the section at 2:23. Nice touch there.

There's some HF noise that's noticeable at the beginning and during quiet sections. From 1:20 - 1:40 the mix sounds too hot to me in the 300-500 Hz range, and after when the chorus returns, though I like the Spector-ish fullness there.

Nice elec gtr lines in it.

That's a very pretty song, has a very strong coldplay vibe too it. The only issues I hear is that there's a lot of room noise, and the acoustic guitars on the quiet parts sound somewhat treble-y. There's one part 2/3rds of the way through where everyone stops playing, and you can hear a lot of creaking and someone (possibly guitar player?) tapping a la a metronome. It sounds really full and nice in the choruses where the bass/drums kick in. Cool tune. If you get a chance, please take a listen to our stuff. We have a link on this thread for feedback as well:

The noise I'm gonna try a noise reduction plug on, some of the creaks I think sound good though. It's because my SDC's are super noisy- I've heard this model gets like that if they diaphragm isn't super dry, so i'm gonna try some silica gel packets and see if that helps. Also my computer being in the same room :( . Yeah something is a little amiss in those louder sections, which is why I posted this. I'll check things out in the 3-500hz range. Thanks.

It sounds GREAT other than the noise. I'd get in amd do as much manual editing as I can pull off unless it starts making it sound like your turning on and off the recording. I am assuming the guitar mic's are what the problem is?

Pretty tough to get around though.

Very cool though! Awsome job! Time for new ldc's I'm afraid :D

You could add a pad to the song for some cover if you can talk the client into it???? Organ part or something like that.

F.S.

Cool tune - I like the dynamics in the various parts. Good job.... :D

Does this sound any better?

I tried to tweak the 3-500hz range just a little bit on those loud parts, hopefully it didn't make it sound worse. I also did some noise reduction on the quiet parts(i forgot the end of the song though). This one is a little more compressed which may have negated some of the noise reduction. I'll probably just leave it less compressed for the album version because of that noise.
