Hello everybody

im from france , and i have build a studio in a perfect square room (box in a box)
i have a "reverb" in the room and i have 2 bass trap
can you tell me where i have to place it

the room is like 1m90 by 1m90 to 2m05 for the height

i have 2 doors on double glazing on my back and the wall (1m90) in my front
and 1 wall on my right and left side (1m90)

what is the best that i can do to treat the acoustic in this room.

thank you for your help :)

This room is terrible for acoustics. I would find a new room to record in if anyway possible. Also, two bass traps will hardly make a dent on this rooms acoustical problems. But if that is all you have to work with then place the bass traps in the corners near your workstation about half way up the wall. Small rooms have crappy bass response at the mix position.

Also, bass traps don't do much for unwanted 'reverb'.

I would recommend at least 4 to 8 bass traps to cut down on the room modes and some other acoustic treatment if the room is to live.

Yeah...square rooms are hard to tame. You're gonna need bass trapping and lots of it.
I'd start with the 2 traps you've got and put them vertically in the corners to the left and right of your mixing desk.
But you're gonna need some in the corners behind you as well. At least.
So maybe look into some DIY traps or buy some from GIK Acoustics ( http://www.gikacoustics.com/room_setup.php )
or Ethan Winer ( http://www.realtraps.com/howto.htm )

Both these guys are good guys and are knowledgeable. ;)

Hope it helps.

Wow...that is a very, VERY tough room. I don't often say this, but I'd abandon all hope on this one and move on to something else. You're talking about a room that's less than 8'x8' with a ceiling right at 8'. I am not exaggerating a bit when I say that you'll have to cover every square inch of that room in 4" broad band panels to make it even remotely usable.

Sorry...wish I could be more positive.
