I am using Sony Acid Pro 7.0 for my home recording studio and I am using a External monitor for Video Preview while I am dubbing audio on Acid Pro on my Acer Aspire Laptop. The External monitor is connected through the VGA out port of my laptop and I am using the external monitor in "Extended Desktop" mode on Windows 7.
When I load a video file on Acid and click the "External Monitor" option after right clicking the 'Video Preview' window, it says that "No external monitor device is available..." - when the external monitor is connected and showing the extended desktop indeed. This external monitor is easily detectable by other workstations like Adobe Premiere Pro etc.
In ACID Pro, I went to Options --> Preferences --> Video, and found the device "OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394/DV", but selecting this device DOESN'T solve the problem.
Please help.
Thanks in advance
